Michigan 

Bud started picking and chipping on ice in 1967 and artistically created his first ice sculpture in 1985.  He is active in winter festivals throughout the Indiana-Michigan area.  Bud is a member of NICA and a past president of MICA (Michiana Ice Carvers Association).  

His last visit to Alaska and the World Ice Art Championships in 2017 was dedicated to his late wife, Linda Kay Rittenouse Lies, battled 40 month-inspirational fight against a terminal Gliobastoma Brain Tumor. Team MICA/LK is creating their sculpture, “The Swing,” in memory of Linda Kay Rittenhouse Lies and all those who have loved ones that are now "whole" with God our Creator.
