Riga Latvia

Maija Puncule is a multidiciplinary Latvian artist.  She started art activities in the textile art and graduated from Art Academy of Latvia Textile Department, with Master's Degree.  

Expanding her own boundries, she started working in the field of sculpure and achieved a Master's Degree in Sculpture as well.  She sculpts with different media; Wood, Ceramic, Metal, Sand, Ice, Snow and Fire.  

In 2010, Maija teamed up with fellow Latvia Sculptor, Karlis Ile.  Together, they collaborate on many events and have won awards for their art at festivals in Japan, China, Russia, Canada, Switzerland and Germany.  

This is Maija's first event with Ice Alaska here in Fairbanks.  Welcome Maija Puncule!
