The Reverend Butter has been sculpting ice for more than 15 years and has received numerous awards. In 2009, he and his teammates took 3rd place in the World Ice Sculpting Championships held in Fairbanks Alaska. He also placed first in Canada’s Magic of Ice festival held in 2009. In 2013, he went to London, England to represent the USA and brought back first and second place.  His work has been documented and televised on The Learning Channel, as well as the Discovery Channel in the feature “Chainsaw Ice Carvers.”   He is a frequent guest on TV channel MyFOX26 in Houston.

He participated in the RED BULL “ART OF CAN” exhibition in June of 2013 with a piece titled: “BIG ASS BOOT.”  It has been on posted on billboards throughout Texas.

He is Co-Founder and Sponsor of the Magnificent 7 Ice Sculpting Exhibition, held every year at Discovery Green Conservatory from 2009 to present. President and Owner of DLG Ice Factory since March 2000, his ice sculptures have been commissioned from clients ranging from Beyonce’ to former president George Bush.

Has done over 500 live ice sculpting performances. He is a proud Texan and is based in Houston.
