Daniel is married to Tessa Howell.  He is a Professional NICA Ice Sculptor, and in 2016 World Ice Art Championships, he and his team swept away the awards, taking not only 1st Place in the Multi Block Realistic Category, but also the Governer's Award, Facebook Viewers Choice Award, and Walt Coty's People's Choice Award.  

Daniel is the Lead Carver at Ice Age Ice Sculptures in Greenville, SC, where he has worked these past 12 years.  He has been the Beverage Manager with Wild Ace Greer, SC, 2012 to 2016.  Prior to that he was Executive Sous Chef for Catering Cru from 2009 - 2012.

Daniel is a Silver medalist, and People's Choice Award recipient in the two man NICA competition in St Joseph, Michigan. Lead hand in assisting Edwin Hutchison in numerous competitions across the country. Performed numerous live, multi block demos for Taste of Charleston at Boone Hall Plantation and events around the Carolinas. "The saw is the law!"
